If you do, more than likely you&#8217;ll have a problem with your back.  These two things tend to go hand in hand and this is for a very simple reason.  The body was not designed to carry around additional weight in the form of body fat.  If we are putting it under a strain by carrying an additional 20, 30 or more pounds around on a regular basis we are also putting our spine, which supports the body, under strain.  Our body may also compensate in other ways, such as our hips moving forward or tilting.  This can also pinch the sciatic nerve which is extremely painful.</p>
<p>In order for us to overcome the back pain that we experience for this reason it is necessary for us to diet and exercise.  Although you have probably been hearing this for the better part of your life, it really is the only way for you to accomplish it.  Let&#8217;s take a look at diet and exercise and see how we can use them to overcome the problem.<span id="more-553"></span></p>
<p>First of all, let&#8217;s tackle the issue of dieting.  There are hundreds of different ways that we can diet and many of them are effective on a temporary basis.  Unfortunately, the diet industry is not interested in having you lose weight because then they would lose you as a customer.  In order for you to lose weight effectively you are simply going to need to eat a healthy diet and to cut your calories so that you are at a slight calorie deficit.  Don&#8217;t plan on losing 20 pounds every week, that is a temporary and dangerous fix.  You should be losing about 2 pounds every week in order for it to work well.</p>
<p>As far as exercise is concerned, this is going to depend on your current health condition.  If your back is not hurting at the moment, you should begin by doing some light weight lifting and building your way up to lifting some heavier weights.  Putting some muscle mass on your legs and the core of your body is going to help you to burn calories.  It will also have the added benefit of supporting your back and spine, making it easier for you to move around and preventing many of the injuries that you might be experiencing.</p>

Although at first it was used for mainly spiritual reasons, in recent years it has also been used for therapeutic purposes.  For example, people with back problems will typically seek out some kind of exercise that will help them with their condition.  Yoga tends to be a good exercise for this for a number of different reasons.  Can it help your back problems?  Quite possibly, and here&#8217;s why.</p>
<p>One of the things that yoga does for you is to allow your body to become more limber.  There are a number of different stretching exercises that are involved in yoga and these can help your back in an amazing way.  Of course, you&#8217;re going to want to make sure that you don&#8217;t overdo it, depending on the type of back injuries that you are experiencing.  For the most part, however, a little bit of yoga can go a long way in helping you to be more comfortable and perhaps even to overcome the back pain that you are experiencing altogether.  Not only that, you also tend to experience a number of other benefits from doing these types of stretching exercises as well.<span id="more-487"></span></p>
<p>Another way that yoga helps you is by getting to the core of the problem.  Many times, we have backaches because the core of our body is out of shape.  This is either due to a lack of exercise or perhaps because of carrying around additional weight.  It may also be a combination of problems that is resonating from the core of our body.  Yoga exercises are designed to help build up the core and this can do amazing things in helping our back.  You&#8217;ve probably heard it said that in order for you to strengthen your back, you need to strengthen your abdominals.  This is very much the same principle.</p>
<p>One final way that yoga may help you with backaches is by giving you preventative measures so that they do not recur again.  This is done by both the stretching exercises and by strengthening our core muscles.  Once these two things take place, you will find that you are able to do things that you were unable to do before.  It&#8217;s a great relief to be able to go through life without having to worry about pulling your back out all of the time.</p>

There are many such exercises that can be done by virtually anyone and everyone but you do need to exercise some caution before you just toss yourself down in the middle of the living room floor and start stretching things.  For one, some so-called back pain exercises can actually make things worse if they&#8217;re not done correctly or if you have an actually injury to your back.  Having back pain is common and is usually due to poor posture and to hunching over a computer screen all day, or to wearing it out by lifting groceries, golf clubs, and children, but if there is an actual rupture or tear of any muscles or disks then back pain exercises may make things worse.  It&#8217;s always best to visit a doctor&#8217;s office when you have consistent and chronic back pain to make sure you&#8217;re not dealing with something very serious before you try to treat this pain on your own.</p>
<p>Once you&#8217;ve ruled out the serious, it&#8217;s time to consider some back pain exercises.  Remember that stretching the back very gently is one of the most basic things you can do to improve blood flow to that area and to get cramped muscles to ease up.  A simple toe touching stretch either while standing or seated can get cramped muscles loose again and is one of the most basic of all <a href="http://4d52ahq8ytd0gr41oum1ifzu0y.hop.clickbank.net/">back pain exercises </a>you can do.  Many find that when they reach for their toes they can hold that position for just a few moments to open up those muscles and stretch them as much as possible.  While some have been taught to <span id="more-213"></span>bounce their hands when reaching for the toes this can be a bit advanced for some with severe pain as it jars the back muscles; instead just stretch straight out and hold that position for a few moments and then put yourself up straight again.  Remember that back pain exercises aren&#8217;t really meant to build up muscle in your back &#8211; leave that to the more advanced sessions when you&#8217;ve opened up the muscles and have gotten them loose again.</p>
<p>Other simple back pain exercises include aerobic exercises which help to control your weight and to keep your heart rate up.  The increased blood circulation you experience when you engage in regular aerobic exercise will strengthen your muscles in the back because blood helps to heal and strengthen every cell of the body.  Exercises that help to keep your weight down can also be considered back pain exercises because excess weight means more stress on your back overall.</p>
<p>Remember that any <a href="http://4d52ahq8ytd0gr41oum1ifzu0y.hop.clickbank.net/">back pain exercises </a>you try should be done slowly and carefully.  Any jerky movement or overextension will just cause more damage.  If you feel even more pain, then stop immediately.  It&#8217;s better to work your way up to more challenging back pain exercises than to hurt yourself even more.</p>
