Relieve Upper Back Pain Instantly

A common pain suffered by many is pain between the shoulder blades. You do not have to put up with this pain. There is a simple solution. All it takes is one simple stretch. Try it- and I guarantee that you will instantly rid yourself of pain between the shoulder blades.
You can do something about this annoying pain!
Performed correctly, I guarantee that you can instantly relieve pain between the shoulder blades. Many people experience pain in this area. This pain is usually the result of stress, poor posture, or both. The area between the shoulder blades is a common spot for trigger points. Self treatment for trigger points is explained here.
If there is pain between both shoulder blades, stretch the worse side first.
This exercise is done seated. You will need a chair on which you can easily hold the seat. Let’s say you have pain near the right shoulder blade.
1. Hold onto the seat with the right hand, 5 to 6 inches (130-150 mm) behind the right hip.
2. Keep the back straight and the head over the shoulders.
3. Lean to the left and slightly forward i.e. directly away from the hand holding the seat.
4. Let the chin drop to the chest.
5. Move the head to the left side – you will feel a stretch anywhere from your right ear to the right shoulder.
6. Hold this position for 3-4 breaths.
7. Shrug the shoulder of the hand holding the seat for 3-4 breaths. (It may feel that nothing is happening, but something is!)
8. Stop shrugging- breathe in.
9. As you exhale lean further away from the restraining hand.
10. Hold this position for 5 breaths.
11. Repeat steps 7-9.
12. To come out of the stretch, move your head back to the chest, remove the restraining hand and gently straighten up.
Now you will be able to notice the difference, between both shoulders. For best results it is recommended that you now stretch the better side. Then gently restretch the side that has been causing the most pain. Perform this stretch whenever you start to experience any pain between the shoulder blades.
